I am a self-motivated and young driven african female. I have excellent organizational skills that
enable me to work under pressure and meet deadlines. I am a team player and I interact well with
people at all levels. I thrive for quality in everything I do which makes me the perfect candidate for
your organization.
I completed the Bachelor of Social work through the University of South Africa over a period of 4
years through long distant learning which taught me discipline and independence. My Degree
helped me to gain thorough knowledge on different aspects of social work including case, group and
community work. I did my practical work at Natal Settlers Memorial Home(old age home) and Valley
View place of safety.
During my practical work I attended social work workshops/training to further my knowledge on how
to conduct case, group and community work, report writing, different theories when tackling cases
and lastly what is expected of me in the field. I also taught English to the secure care section (those
that are in conflict with the law) which included the basics of reading, writing, comprehension and
figures of speech.
After graduating, I volunteered as an educational social worker at Clarence Primary School with an
aim to gain experience on integrating theory into practise. Volunteering at Clarence has developed
me as a person and as a social worker in working with young children and different cases.
I completed 168 hours TEFL course with The TEFL Academy which taught me so much about
teaching English as foreign language and also increased my interest in teaching English abroad.
Lastly, I work at Maria Montesorri International kindergarten in Yixing (China) which has been one of
the best experiences I’ve ever had.
I am a person that takes initiative and seeks out new responsibilities and I look forward to
challenges as they will help me to improve my knowledge and skills.
