IGCSE/A-Level Geography Teaching Position

It’s with great interest that I submit my resume in consideration for a position of a Geography teacher in your institution. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography from the University of Yaoundé. I am a truly compassionate and approachable teacher with over 13 years of teaching experience in China, and I am confident of my ability to be a valuable member of your teaching staff.

I am passionate about both Physical and Human Geography, and keenly interested in helping students become high achievers. I have had the opportunity to instruct students from different backgrounds and walks of life, and this has made me even more considerate to the unique needs of learners. I am a good listener who takes pride in individual and group supports with integrated multicultural teaching strategies to encourage and keep students motivated.

Developing and presenting comprehensible lesson plans that integrate all learning styles have been one of the most effective ways that I’ve assisted my students. I research and incorporate a variety of resources to accommodate learners through audio, visual, tactile and kinesthetic methods. In addition, I integrate workshops and technology to ensure that learners have the most exposure to, and retain concepts of the language. My goal is to foster and maintain an open communicative and supportive classroom where each learner feels safe, secured and appropriately challenged with the goal to improve critical thinking.
