Jean Daryl Ampong, 25 years old, is a teacher by profession. She is a passionate advocate for adolescent and young people’s health, rights and wellbeing, particularly, young women and girls. She teaches English and Literature subjects. Jean Daryl is a graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English from Surigao State College of Technology where she also obtained her Master\\\'s degree in Education. She is the former Deputy National Youth Representative of the Family Planning Organization of the Philippines, an IPPF Member Association in the Philippines. Jean co-founded the Surigao Youth Convergence, an organization that seeks to incorporate the United Nations’ sustainable development goals, now synthesized into seven – health, education and youth participation, poverty alleviation, environment, employment, human rights, and peace and development – in the province of Surigao del Norte with young people as the crucial players in their integration. She currently leads the Program and Advocacy unit of the coalition. She is also an active member of Surigao Youth Center and Rotaract Club of Metro Surigao. Jean is an advocate of Sexual and reproductive health and rights. She is also dedicated in advocacies such as youth empowerment, climate change awareness, and women empowerment.
