Ilias is a multilingual and multicultural professional with a strong academic foundation and diverse expertise in environmental studies, shipping, energy strategy, and renewable energy project development. Holding a Master\'s in International Energy Management from École Mines ParisTech-France and a Master\'s in Thermal and Power Engineering from Tsinghua University. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Environmental Science and Engineering at Tsinghua University. His research focuses on Inland Shipping Decarbonization, Carbon Neutral Strategy in China by 2060 and Air Pollution Control Strategies in Shipping. Prior to that, he worked as an Adjunct Professor at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, Morocco. Where he taught fundamental chemistry, energy strategy, and sustainability courses. Ilias is the founder of Tsinghua Climate Hub that is a platform bridging the gap between experts and students for sustainability.
